A Regency mahogany and boxwood strung sofa table, circa 1820, the rectangular top above two frieze drawers, raised on dual end supports united by an X-stretcher, and with outswept legs terminating in brass caps and castors, 72cm high, 137cm wide (open), 91cm deep

Condition Report:
The stringing has been ebonised throughout and has a dark colour, Overall with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, scuffs and marks and old stains present, the handles are various, with some missing and some replacements. The handles with splits and cracks. Old chips and splits and repairs, including to the top and to one leg near the castor. Repairs and restorations. Chips, losses, replacements to veneers and inlays This has a lighter/more ginger colour than in the catalogue image - please see additional images for both reference to colour and to condition The glue to the supports has dried and one has become detached, this is all old glue and could easily be re-glued
