A Regency period old Sheffield Plate samovar, maker Matthew Boulton & Co: bears crest for Robert Shaw of Bushypark, Co Dublin, of squat circular outline, the shallow domed cover with foliate finial and gadrooned border enclosing a lidded lift-out container, the main body with half reeded decoration, reeded and foliate loop carrying handles to the side, acanthus decorated tap, on circular foot and square base with gadrooned border, raised on paw feet, 41cm high, contained in its original oak box. *Provenance - Originally made for Robert Shaw , 1st Baronet of Bushypark, bought by Charlotte Maria Fromont and given to the current owner's ancestors.
