A Regency plum pudding mahogany sofa games table, circa 1815, in the manner of Gillows, the rectangular top incorporating twin hinged leaves, and a central sliding panel, with parquetry chess board and cribbage score marker panels, the interior beneath fitted with a gilt tooled leather inset backgammon board, the frieze with a central false drawer, flanked on either side by a short drawer, on twin pillar trestle supports and reeded downswept legs terminating in brass caps and casters, 72cm high, the top 104cm wide (unextended), 68.5cm deep overall

Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use old splits and chips. some small losses including some short stretches of cock beading Various areas of old sun fading, particularly to the top The two short drawers to the frieze are locked and lacking keys There is some staining and discoloration to the leather backgammon board and some small areas of old fragmentary loss (see images) A small rectangle of veneer detached from one corner of the frieze is present inside.
