Y A Regency rosewood Davenport, circa 1815, in the manner of Gillows, the sloped writing surface enclosing two short drawers and compartment, and with stationary drawer to one side, on sliding action, above a slide containing a further rest and bank of four drawers, with Bramah locks throughout, 88cm high, 50cm wide, 59cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use,some chips, losses, and replacements to veneers and inlays, this appears mainly around the inset, there is also some lifting and bubbling to veneers.The inset with wear, marks, indentations, old splits and tears consistent with age and use - these appear to have been largely stabilised and conserved as best as possible - the condition does not detract from the Davenport overall, it would have had gilt to the tooled edge, this has largely been lost.One of the false drawers is horizontally split through,The turned handles all appear to be original,There are Bramah locks throughout, there are no keys present - all drawers are open at present.Condition Report Disclaimer
