A Roman Marble Head of Eros
circa 1st/2nd Century A.D.

turned to his right and looking down, with parted lips and curly hair; nose restored.
Height 9.5 cm.

Condition Report:
Nose restored in marble. Note abraded hair above forehead and chips on chin, cheek, and eyebrow. Larger chip on hair behind proper right ear, which has abraded rim. Extensive areas of original polish remaining. Incrustation mostly confined to proper left side of face and back of head on proper left side. Drilled underneath and mounted on an old wood base with a screw inserted into a wood cork.
