The pin-badge, sent to Pen by his wife and children, worn in the photographs taken by Martin Hartley at Eureka High Arctic Weather Station (Canada) immediately following Pen's return off the Arctic Ocean; together with the first proof, with corrections for an article entitled 'Motivation in Extreme Environments: A case study of polar explorer Pen Hadow', printed in Journal of Performance in Extreme Environments, Spring/Summer 2006.
