A Royal Worcester Porcelain Jardiniere and Stand, 1898, of compressed ovoid with formal moulded borders, the stand of fluted slender baluster form, painted with flowers and insects on a blush ivory ground within gilt line borders, printed mark in puce to stand only, 153cm high See illustration
The gilding is rubbed particularly around the rim. The interior of the planter is stained and slightly crazed. The planter is currently stuck down with traces of blue tack and can currently not be moved from the base. Base with further wear to the gilding and several small areas of gilding have been re-painted. There is a small section around one of the birds where the scroll work of the leaf is missing. The folding stand with small scuffs and faults around the legs and stretchers.
