A Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring, the oval cut ruby in a yellow claw setting within a border of old cut diamonds in white claw settings, to an old cut diamond set shoulder yellow plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, finger size J see illustration

The ruby is accompanied by a Ruby Report from Gemmological Certification Services, GCS Lab, report number 80252-80, dated 24th January, 2020, describing it as natural ruby, no evidence of heat treatment observed, origin opinion Myanmar (Burma)

Burmese rubies are accepted as the finest quality rubies. A fine quality ruby is generally considered to have an even colour, with a strong red fluorescence, showing a minimal amount of black, grey or brown. The large majority of these stones are from the Mogok area of Myanmar (Burma).

. The ring is in good condition with a couple of chips to the ruby. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 6.9 grams. CR made 30.01.20.
