A Ruby and Diamond Double Clip Brooch, circa 1940's, formed of a bow motif centrally with spray detail, each clip set throughout with a cluster of round cut rubies in white claw settings and round brilliant cut and baguette cut diamonds in claw and channel settings, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, measures 4.8cm by 2.8cm see illustration

. The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch and each clip has a double pin. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 15.3 grams. CR made 07.02.20
