A Russian Dragoon Officer's 1909 Pattern Shashka

Slightly curved single-edged nickel plated blade with fuller on both sides. On the ricasso a Cyrillic maker's mark for Zlatoust. Brass knuckle-bow hilt, the pommel cap with empty cartouche for Tsar's monogram. Grooved wooden grip. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (damaged) with brass mountings, throat is missing. Russia, the early 20th century. Length 94 cm. Condition 3+
