(A) SCARCE COLT LONDON POCKET NAVY MADE IN 1868.

Colt model 1862 pocket revolver in the Navy caliber, referred to as the Pocket Navy. London address on the barrel along with British proofs on the cylinder and left side of the barrel. Iron back strap and trigger guard. Correct "L" stamping above the serial number on the barrel and below the serial number on the trigger guard. All numbers are matching. The lever is unnumbered. One piece grips. Made in 1868. The octagon barrel is 5 - 3/8 inches long. Accompanied by a copy of the February 2001 issue of The Gun Report magazine featuring these guns. CONDITION: Retains an even patina with some traces of original blue and some touch up. Markings are clear, although the cylinder scene is worn. Wedge is loose. Bore has strong rifling. Action is slightly out of time and the cylinder will not always advance. Grip show wear with dings and handling marks.
