(A) SECONDARY MARTIAL TYPE FLINTLOCK PISTOL MARKED

The round smoothbore barrel is unmarked. The lock is marked "TRYON" in the center and has other sprigs of decorative engraving. Lock also has a roller-frizzen. The brass furniture includes a semi-stirrup pommel cap and a trigger guard with an acorn finial and floral engraving on the tang. Plain walnut stock, wooden ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Barrel and lock have been cleaned bright and show scattered areas of pitting. Lock is in its original flintlock configuration. Brass has been cleaned bright, shows some scattered marks from use. Stock has a piece replaced above front lock tang. An attractive and scarce Tryon-marked flintlock pistol.
