Branches of the family in existence at the time of assay (1786) include: Earl of Mexborough, SAVILE of Lincolnshire and Darton Grange Nottinghamshire, SAVILE of Thirbergh Yorkshire, SAVILE of Humby Lincolnshire. Most are descended from the earlier family of Methley Yorkshire.
