Condition Report:
(Rug is illustrated upside down in catalogue (see animals in the central panel) and is correctly orientated online, despite this being the opposite way from the related rug in this sale (Lot 63), which is illustrated correctly.) Pile evenly closely sheared approx 1mm in depth with oxidised dark walnut. Original macrame knotted end finishes with some losses. Partial original overcasting on right hand side, overcasting needs restoration on left hand side. Rug looks as if it would benefit from a clean. Honest original condition.
