A SINO-TIBETAN BRONZE GILT FIGURE OF MANJUSRI
Manjusri, the Bodhisattva associated with wisdom, doctrine and awareness, who embodies enlightened wisdom. The Sanskrit term Manjusri means Gentle Glory. Seated in dhyansana on a double lotus base, wearing elaborated jewelry, large circular earrings and a tiara around his knotted hair, his left hand in dharmacatra mudra, the right raised a sword, traces of blue pigment to the hair.
