A SMALL GILT-BRASS RENAISSANCE DRUM TIMEPIECE, GERMAN, CIRCA 1550

• Movement: incomplete iron movement with fusee and hogs bristle regulation, pallets and foliot lacking
• Dial: with inner twenty-four hour ring and with touch pieces
• Case: drum case engraved with medallion portraits linked by flowers and leaves, indistinct makers mark

diameter 50mm

Condition Report:
Dial: has section of rim missing between XII and II, hand replaced.
Case: in generally good condition with old minor dents and marks commensurate with age. No winder.
Movement: lacking pallets and foliot, spring barrel replaced but otherwise appears to be complete, some old repairs.
