A SOLID SILVER HILT FOR A SHAMSHIR
Quillon and grip in one piece. In solid silver. Straight quillons, chiselled with a monster's head, quillon block with a big rosette, carved with a flower, with petals finely engraved in bass-relief. Grip is deeply chiselled with braided rinceaux and ending in small, trilobal leaves. An angled pommel at the peak, finely carved with in-the-round tiger's head, with slightly open jaws and tongue that comes out of it.
