A SPOTTED BAMBOO AND BURL-INSET HONGMU CABINET
18th/19th century
Of rectangular form, divided into six drawers of various size, the upper central draw set back from the others, the top with scroll-form terminals and inset with three burl wood panels, each double-ended drawer inset on one side with vertical strips of spotted bamboo (xiang fei zhu) and on the reverse with a rosewood panel with attractive grain.
