Condition Report:
Of sound and sturdy construction, this elegant set of chairs is in good conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active. There are traces of wax and restoration overall, especially to worm holes and to minor chips on the carving.

One fauteuil with the back broken and repaired; with later raised feet. One side chair with one leg broken and repaired.

The associated tapestry is of the same set for all the chairs, with colours slightly faded, as expected, re-stitching, repairs and torn in places. The sprung uphostery covered below and therefore rails not inspected.

A very impressive suite of good quality.
