A Sarouk rug

A Sarouk rug, approximately 156 x 126cm, together with a woven rug, in Agra style, approximately 213 x 138cm Provenance: Berwick House, ShropshireCondition Report: Rug One- Wear overall. Wear reveals underlying weft and pale knot heads poke through pile in places. Some surface dirt, could benefit from cleaning. Fringing is short at both ends and has significant wear, discolouration, losses and some loose threads. Longest edges are untidy with some undulation, wear and pale knots visible. Various losses to pile, some are possibly from old moth damage. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Rug Two- Wear overall. Wear reveals underlying strands and weft in areas throughout. Fringing has been lost at both ends. Both ends have been secured with later thread but are untidy.
