A Saxon military wheellock pistol, circa 1670/80
Slender two-stage barrel, octagonal then sixteen-sided, with smooth bore in 12 mm calibre. At the breech king’s head mark struck three times and mark "IS" (Stöckel 5598 and 3806). Delicate wheellock, with small engraved "S", at the end of the lock plate "TS". Walnut full stock with nose of engraved bone. Pommel cap with inlaid copper band and decorative bone rosette. Iron trigger guard, original ramrod with tip of engraved bone. Length 59 cm.
