A Scottish all-metal flintlock pistol, circa 1820
Description: Round barrel with flared octagonal muzzle. Smooth bore in 14 mm calibre. The barrel surface finely etched with trophies and thistles, two acceptance marks struck to the side of the breech. Finely engraved lock with traces of original bluing, engraved signature “MacLeod”. Rain-proof pan with frizzen on rollers. Iron button trigger. Iron all-metal stock finely etched with thistles and trophies. Inserted into the butt stock a broach, slender iron ramrod. Length 31.5 cm.
