A Scottish late Victorian satinwood wardrobe, Morison & Co Edinburgh, circa 1890, 206cm high, 200cm wide, 71cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, some unevenness to the polish to the surface,The plate to the central mirror is old and with bloom and spottingOld splits and cracksInternally this has a bank of slides and drawers to one cupboard door - the other cupboard door and central mirror enclosing a larger hanging space with hooks and rail. The interior of the large compartment appears to have been fabric lined previously - there are tack marks around the edgesThis wardrobe breaks down into a cornice, plinth, side tall unit (for slides and drawers) and the larger tall unit for the hanging compartment, the doors can be unscrewed from the cupboard's sides, the central mirrored door is pinned and held by the top and plinth - there is a pack of screws provided with this wardrobe, these have not been tried by Dreweatts and we give no guarantees - these would need to be tested by the purchaser and perhaps alternatives sourced.The mirrored door has been supported previously with a hinged bracket which is no present but the timber cut outs remain to the wardrobe and door top. a replacement would need to be sourced by the purchaser if wished.
