A Scottish provincial silver table spoon, in Old English style with monogrammed terminal. Three struck marks to reverse, letter 'E', three towers and hand with dagger, for James Erskine, Aberdeen (1792-1820). Length 8.75" (22.2cm), weight 1.93 ozt (60 grams).
Condition Report:
Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear and tarnishing, also some surface marks, scratches and nicks. Heavier wear around the edge of the bowl and especially the tip. The metal in this area is slightly ground down and thinner. Hallmarks located to reverse of terminal, rubbed but legible.
