A Scythian bronze zoomorphic belt ornament, c. 3rd - 2nd Century BC, the design comprised of conjoined foreparts - one a horse and the other a bit more avian in nature, with stylized forelegs and double arched grooves at top. The piece is concave when viewed from behind with this mounting loop. 1 7/8 x 1 5/8 in (4.8 x 4.1 cm). Ex Epshtein collection, Berkeley, CA.
