Eastern Europe, 19th/20th Century. A series of four small icons in a similar style, tempera/gilt-painted and gesso on wood panel, depicting scenes of Christ and the Theotokos. Each panel 3 3/4" x 3"; mounted in pairs in shadowbox frames 7 5/8" x 7 5/8". Condition: with edge and corner losses, and other scattered spots of paint loss. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
