A Set of Queen's China Sunny England Pattern Teaware.

A set of porcelain teaware manufactured by Rosina China Co. Ltd under the Queen's China brand, England, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The set features a transfer-printed Imari style floral pattern in rust-orange and black, accented with hand-painted green leaves. Each piece is finished with a gilded scalloped rim. The base of the pieces bears a printed brown mark consisting of a crown above the entwined initials 'G' and 'W', surrounded by the text 'QUEEN'S CHINA SUNNY ENGLAND'. The set includes:

A cream jug with a scrolled handle and wide pouring spout. The lower body features a repeating floral border consistent with the service.

A collection of tea cups, each with a flared rim and scrolled handle, decorated with floral sprays to the interior and exterior.

A collection of saucers and side plates with matching floral borders and gilded rims.

A pair of large bread and butter plates, each featuring a broad central well and a wide decorated border.

More Information

The set exhibits significant wear to the gilding, particularly evident on the rims of the tea cups and the cream jug (photos 5, 6, and 9). The cream jug shows small chips and roughness to the gilded rim (photo 9). Fine crazing to the glaze is visible across several pieces, typical for bone china of this age. Some surface staining and pitting is present on the foot rims (photo 10). One cup base retains remnants of a white adhesive label (photo 10).
