Model "assiette plate". The well decorated with a portrait of the French lawyer and politician in imitation of carved chalcedony, inscribed to one side MICHEL DE L´HOPITAL. Surrounded by a broad band of anthemion. Inscribed to the reverse "L'Hospital (Michel de) homme d'Etat, né à La Roche près Aigueperse en 1505." Grey stamped mark SÈVRES.32, R in sepia, gilt 17.9.B.F. (?), incised 29-11. D 23.3 cm.
