A Silesian wheel-lock teschinke with brass adorned lock, circa 1650
Description: Slender, in the middle slightly bellied octagonal barrel rifled with six grooves in 8 mm calibre. Brass and iron dovetail sights, illegible mark struck at the breech. Lock of typical form with external hammer spring and applied engraved brass plaques. Safety button, spring-loaded pan cover with release button. Walnut full stock with rich inlays of engraved and blackened bone. Patchbox with spring-loaded sliding cover, iron indented finger guard. Wooden ramrod with engraved bone tip. Length 122 cm.
