A Sixty-Three-Piece Herend Custom-Ordered Raspberry Printemps Partial Gilt Porcelain Dinner and Tea Service for Ten, 20th century Marks: HEREND·HVNGARY, IPI, (shield), (crossed paint brushes), HANDPAINTED, (various) 8-1/4 x 12-3/4 x 8-1/4 inches (21.0 x 32.4 x 21.0 cm) (largest, tureen) Property from the Collection of R. Douglas Houser, Dallas, Texas Doug Houser, a long-term resident of Dallas, has an eye for excellence and a passion for the fine things in life. Over an intensive period of 3 years, with input from one of Dallas’ most sophisticated interior designers, Sherry Hayslip, Doug traveled with a mission – to decorate his Beaux Art inspired Turtle Creek home with the finest examples of fin-de-siècle design. From 2002 to 2005, he visited Paris, Lyons, Rome, Florence, Bueno Aires, and other destinations, searching for extraordinary furniture and decorative arts, many of which are featured within this catalogue.
