A South German Baroque cabinet, early 18th centuryEbony, veneered and polished. On four feet. Rectangular wooden body. The top on two hinges forming the lid. The inside of the lid with a mirror and two polychrome fields. One compartment on the inside. The obverse featuring new cartouches with intricate polychrome portrayals of fishermen, shepherds, and wanderers in a detailed landscape. Six fields worked as a drawer. The top three fields are false drawers, the entire register removable from the top with a secret compartment in the back. Two handles on floral brass fittings. One fitting loose. Minor losses.
