The lime wood figure painted in colour and wrought hollow on the back. The saint in bishop's regalia, holding a bible in his left hand, a hole to insert a staff, the right hand is missing. Knocked in places, with defects. Height 92 cm.
In the Latin church, the church fathers Gregory the Great and St Jerome are represented as cardinals, whereas Augustine of Hippo and Ambrose, Archbishop of Milan, are shown as bishops.
