Aleksandra Alekseevna Chekulina (1906-1986) started at the Dmitrovsk factory in 1931 and continued until retiring in 1961. She was the designer of several important services dedicated to Soviet achievements in the 1930s. The catalogue for the 1939 exhibition "The Industry of Socialism" lists several portraits by Chekulina after sketches by the artist Shugaev. Cf. "Ode to Joy", p.394.
