The vase in the 'Kitaiskaia' [Chinese] form by Serafima Iakovleva, painted by Iu. Okhotin, stamped with blue factory mark, and inscribed in Russian 'khud. Okhotina n' and dated 1958.

The vase depicts the famous sculpture in Arts Square designed by sculptor Mikhail Konstantinovich Anikushin (1917-1997) who began work on this sculpture in 1937; it was finally erected in front of the State Russian Museum in June of 1957. In 1958, Anikushin received the Lenin Prize for this beloved Leningrad monument.
