Steel, wood. Ceremonial staff weapon carried by the lieutenants at the coronation in 1558. A leaf blade etched on both sides, one side with double-headed eagle under crown and initials and date "KF 1558" on the other side: the ragged staves of Burgundy with the same date. Austria 1558, length 170 cm. Emperor Ferdinand I (1503 - 1564, reigned 1558a€“64). Same spear also in the collection of the Metropolitam Museum of Art and at the Walters Art Museum. Condition 2+
