A Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond dress ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with marquise-shape diamond shoulders. Verbal from GCS, stating Sri Lanka, no heat. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 10 by 10.5 by 7.3mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Ring size I1/2. Weight 5gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
Band shows evidence of resize.
One diamond chipped.

Diamonds bright and fairly well matched.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Sapphire is a medium slightly purplish blue hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

Sapphire in fair condition with minor abrasion, poor quality polish to table and shallow chips near girdle extending into pavilion.
