A Swedish Gilt Bronze Mounted Marquetry and Tortosa Brocatello Marble-Top Commode

European Furniture & Decorative Arts The commode appearing in good, stable, and ready to place condition. The upper drawer front missing a few small sections of veneer at the top and having a few repaired areas. The top drawer also having two sections of lifting veneer. The lower drawer with missing veneer along the bottom of the drawer. The drawer pulls are somewhat loose but attached and are oxidized. The drawers stick and the boards at the bottom of the drawers are shrunken. The legs with old scuffs, marks, and scrapes. The marquetry on either side of the commode is in good condition. Scattered age cracks as is to be expected. The marble top having a few chips to the edges and negligible areas of roughness. There is an old repair to one side.
