With 18th century blade (some old wear and rust patination) of flattened oval section over most of its length, the forte of flattened hexagonal section etched in Latin on both sides with an aphorism between decorative panels, the spurious date '1415' and a running wolf beyond, cast and chased hilt retaining traces of gilding and comprising baluster quillons with recurved foliate tips, quillon-block with grotesque mask on each side, basal mount and tall ovoidal pommel-cap each punched with scrollwork and with petalled border, the latter with compressed tang button, and tapering agate grip of flattened swelling section beaked on each side at the top
