A TALISH LONG RUG, SOUTHEAST CAUCASUS

first half 19th century

approximately 242 by 104cm; 7ft. 11in., 3ft. 5in.

Condition Report:
Rug has had extensive restoration at some point and approximately 12-15% of the rug is probably later reweaves and repiling, including bottom right corner, half of upper outer guard, areas of blue field. Weave appears early and there is a really good range of interesting colour including the pistachio green of the outer guard, which is partly original.
