A TIBETAN BRONZE-GILT FIGURE OF YAMANTAKA
The figure is cast standing in alidhasana on prostrate bodies and animals over a double lotus base, in yabyum position with his consort. His many arms radiate about him, each holding a different attributes and implements. The primary arms are shown grasping his consort and holding the curved knife and skull cap. Dressed in a tiger-skin below the waist, his three faces are adorned with a skull crown and surmounted by his hair rising into a flaming chignon, with polychrome paint remains.
