A TURQUOISE-GLAZED POTTERY JUG WITH PSEUDO-KUFIC INSCRIPTION
Central Iranian wolrd, possibly Ghazni, Afghanistan, 13th century
Of pyriform shape, on tall straight foot, the short curved handle and pointed rim forming a spout, pseudo-Kufic calligraphic band painted in underglaze black around the body covered with turquoise glaze, 30cm circumference and 30cm high.
