ROOSEVELT. The letter itself measures approximately 10” x 7”. The typed heading at the top reads “Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y. , May 13, 1916”. The letter is typed in indigo ink and appears to thank a gentleman named F.W. Hartford of Portsmouth, New Hampshire for a letter and editorial. The letter is clearly signed “Theodore Roosevelt”. CONDITION: the letter is partially glued to a backing paper at the very top of the sheet. Paper is very slightly discolored but the signature and type remain bold. (02-21850-2/BF). $1,000-1,600.
