A Tibetan thangka of Amitabha in sukavati. Late 19th century

The Buddha of boundless light seated in meditation posture in his western paradisal buddhaverse, surrounded by eight Taras, Tsongkhapa flanked by two lamas above and three Buddha figures, the white Tara, Amitayus and Ushnishavijaya at the upper border. Inscription to the reverse. Gouache and gold on cloth. Creases, losses of pigments, stains.
