A Tibetan thangka of Buddha Shakyamuni. 19th century

Seated in vajarasana on a lotus flower with his right hand in bhumisparsa mudra while holding an alms bowl in his left, with Tsongkhapa above flanked by Gelugpa lamas, and Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani below. Inscription to the reverse. Gouache and gold on cloth. Brocade mounting. Wear and partially stained.
