A Tri-Colour Lavender, Green and White Jadeite 'Landscape with Figures' Plaque Carving, 40AE
This finely carved rectangular plaque is expertly worked from tri-colour jadeite, exhibiting striking zones of vivid emerald green, soft lavender and milky white across its polished surface. The front face is intricately relief-carved with a detailed landscape scene, featuring stylised foliage at the upper section, rocky outcrops and small human figures nestled within the natural setting, with textured recessed areas to create depth and contrast between raised motifs and background. The landscape and figure motif evokes tranquil seclusion, harmony with nature and scholarly serenity within traditional Chinese iconography. The jadeite displays distinct colour zoning, with bright green patches concentrated toward the top, pale lavender tones spreading through the mid-section, interspersed with pale whitish matrix and subtle natural inclusions. The carving employs raised relief work alongside finely incised detailing, the plaque surface smoothly burnished to a bright, lustrous finish. Dimensions: 6.5 cm x 4 cm
