With fullered tapering blade double-edged towards the point, steel half-basket guard comprising three swelling scrolled bars on the outside swept-up to join the knuckle-guard and formed as a ring around the base of the globular pommel at the top, scrolled bar on the inside, pierced ovoidal guard engraved '95 2D TP' and 'GG DS', small lobed rear quillon, and fishskin-covered grip bound with a strand of twisted brass wire (minor rust patination)
