With curved bright blade gold-damascened with foliage at the yelman, the forte on both sides with applied steel plate damascened with gold foliage and pierced centrally with a cartouche framing gold-damascened calligraphy, one side damascened with a calligraphic cartouche beyond, and with gold-damascened star and crescent on the other, hilt comprising border engraved quillon-block with pointed langets and acorn-shaped quillon terminals, gilt foliate engraved grip-strap, and rounded horn grips (damaged) pierced for a sword-knot, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather (chape missing) with silver locket and suspension mount engraved with borders of ropework and foliage, the latter with two rings for suspension
