Modelled as Neptune upon two hippocamps, holding his trident in his right hand, the backplate a zoomorphic mask; with a perspex support; together with a bronze figure of Cupid, Italian, 17/18th century, on a later Siena marble plinth; and a bronze stand in the form of three addorsed children, 18/19th century, on a concave-sided base and a later marble plinth
Door Knocker: 9 3/8 in. (24 cm.) high; Cupid 4 in. (10 cm.) high, overall; three Adorsed Children: 2 ½ in. (6.2 cm.) high, overall

Cupid: The Property of the late Mrs. Emily Hesslein of New York City, sold Sotheby's London, 10 May 1962, lot 130 , where acquired by her nephew, David Rutherston (1925-1975), and by descent to his second wife Gloria, later Countess Bathurst (1927-2018).
