˜A VERY FINE IVORY AND SILVER-MOUNTED BURMESE SWORD (DHA), ALAUNGPAYA DYNASTY, SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY with slightly curved single-edged blade formed with a back-edge of triangular section and grooved over its length on each face, finely carved ivory grip formed of a long single piece of ivory pierced with a vertical arrangement of foliage inhabited by deities and warriors in traditional dress, fitted with chased silver ferrule and pommel, the latter with a low pointed finial, ivory scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt, with silver locket and chape chased with matching designs and with three slender beadwork bands (two loose) 51.2 cm; 20 1/8 in blade
