A VERY FINE PART SILK TABRIZ CARPET, NORTH-WEST PERSIA approx: 11ft.5in. x 8ft.2in.(347cm. x 248cm.) The soft aqua-green field with delicate scrolling palmette and leafy vine around concentric floral and arabesque medallion. Pale dusty-pink spandrels similar. In polychrome palmette, floral spray and scrolling leafy vine border between arabesques and plain stripes. This carpet has full pile of soft wool quality and is in an excellent condition throughout. Both ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. Very finely woven carpet, approx: 8 x 8 knots per. sq. cm. Very well balanced colours. Attractive piece.
